Mais Mansimov: Rumours around Khazar Lankaran occurs in interests of definite groups

Processes inside Khazar Lankaran Football Club is being widely discussed in sports community recently. Apart from objective information, there are also made-up data. In order to finish such talk the president of our club Mais Mansimov cleared up all the points in his interview to the official web-site.
- Mr Mansimov, what can you say generally about the atmosphere in the club?
As you know, Khazar Lankaran made successful start to the season. We situated at the top of the table since beginning of the season, and it is an evidence of good performance, shown by the team. We are glad, that after leaving Europa League our team could gather the power in short period and concentrate on new season.
- After lose in the last week of the Premier League different kinds of controversial information appeared in media about the team. As a club president please estimate the current situation.
Straight after that match team meeting was held. Coaches and playes fully took part there. I personally expressed my disagreement with weak performance of the team. Coaching squad promised, that mistakes will be analysed and will not be repeated further. The reason of such quick reaction to defeat is, that Khazar Lankaran is a club, which always plays for the title and results of the team must reflect its ambitions.
- Kamran Aghayev occurs in rumours more than anyone. Reportedly he has problems with head coach Mircea Rednic. Also, there are gossips, saying that he is leaving the club. We would like to know your opinion on all of this.
Just today I met with Kamran. He told me, that there are no problem between him and the coach. Mircea Rednic also confirms it. That’s why information about the conflict is too far from being true.
Kamran Aghayev has been playing for Khazar Lankaran for a long time. Here he has been formed here as high-level goalkeeper and became the member of the national team. He also realises all of this. I can say, that today Kamran asked me to extendhis contract. So, till summer of 2014 he is a footballer, belonging to Khazar Lankaran Football Club.
- How do you think, what is the reason, that such rumours appear?
I consider, that it is not coincidental. There are definite groups, staying behind it. Those groups try to influence Khazar Lankaran with non-sporting methods, being frightened with successful start of the team, with the point difference with the second place, which reached up to seven points. But such attempts cannot influence the team spirit in Khazar Lankaran. Our team will continue to show the power on the pitch as ever.
