”Khazar Lankaran” to play against ”Maccabi” (Tel Aviv) in the Europa League

UEFA Europa League qualification stage draw has been held today in Nyon, Switzerland. As a result of the draw “Khazar Lankaran” will face on the second round Israeli team “Maccabi” (Tel Aviv). First match will take place in Lankaran on 14th of July, return match on 21st of July in Israel.
“Maccabi” football club was established in 1906. This team has won Israeli league 20 times, and got the national cup 22 times. In the period of 1996-2000 the manager of “Maccabi” was well-known Israeli manager Avram Grant. In 2004/2005 season the team played in the group stage of UEFA Champions League. This season “Maccabi” finished on the third position in the league. The team play home matches at “Bloomfield” stadium with 14,700 capacity.
