"Khazar Lankaran” Football Club appeals to AFFA president Rovnag Abdullayev with open letter.
Dear Rovnag muallim!
We ought to bring again to your attention that positive changes in national football under your lead are put under shadow. When huge actions are being done in this sports area from one side, from another side there are non-professional attitude of different persons to their job, what has become a tradition. As a result of all of this your work on federation level and our work on club level cannot give the result which is needed.
This season “Khazar Lankaran” encountered non-objective referee attitude on different matches and every time delivered to society objection, which was supported with facts. “Baki” – “Khazar Lankaran” match within semifinal of Azerbaijan Cup also remembered with negative occasions. Referee of this match Rovshan Ahmedov`s decisions against our team through all the game displayed another time that Referee Committee work is organized on low level. Videos of referee mistake in the mentioned match are also put on our web-site.
Referees are one of the important parts of football, and now while general development of football, this vast number of faults in referees work should be a signal for serious attempts. If self-lawlessness of persons, who can influence the result of matches, will not be eliminated, Azerbaijani football will be damaged as a result.
“Khazar Lankaran” Football Club from the day of its establishment paid a great contribution to increasing interest to national football. Of course, achievements, which we have got and are eager to get in the future, are worth of proper investment. And when we meet obstacles, as a result of non-professionalism of some persons, it certainly disturbs us.
Such things are damage not only for our club, but also for national football wholly. It should be also taken into account, that there are many foreign coaches and players in the country. And another result of above mentioned non-professionalism is reducing of Azerbaijan football authority in foreign countries representatives eyes.
We hope, that all of this facts will be taken into account and the faults in Referee Committee`s work will be detected and those, who concede such occasions will be punished appropriately.
